Kazan Kremlin
The Kremlin is the hallmark of the capital of Tatarstan. By the way, the word "kremlin" itself is of Tatar origin and translates to "fortress" in Russian. For comparison, the Moscow Kremlin is 200 years younger than the Kazan Kremlin.

Kul Sharif Mosque
This is the newest building in the Kremlin, built between 1996 and 2005. The elegant white building looks like it came out of the pages of an Eastern fairy tale. It is especially beautiful at night when illuminated by spotlights. This is the main Jumu'ah mosque for the collective prayer of the entire Muslim community at noon on Fridays. Its exterior is inspired by the legendary mosque of the capital of the Kazan Khanate, with several minarets.

Bauman Street (Kazan Arbat)
Bauman Street stretches for almost 2 km from Millennium Square to Tukay Square. In the times of the Kazan Khanate, this ancient street was part of a trade route and was called "Nogai Road." It received its modern name in 1930 in honor of Kazan native revolutionary N.E. Bauman.

Palace of Farmers
With its semi-circular shape and strict monumentality, this building resembles the Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg. The palace is quite new, built in 2010 in a neoclassical Beaux-Arts style. It is located near the Kazan Kremlin.

Cathedral of the Apostles Peter and Paul
An Orthodox church in Kazan, it is one of the most prominent examples of the Petrine style and an exceptional monument for Kazan architecture. Visitors to the Peter and Paul Cathedral included all Russian emperors starting from Catherine II (except Nicholas II) and almost all famous individuals, regardless of their faith, who visited Kazan. Descriptions of the cathedral are found in the works of Alexander Humboldt and Alexandre Dumas, and it was visited by Alexander Pushkin.

Suyumbike Tower
Within the Kremlin grounds, there is a tower reminiscent of the Leaning Tower of Pisa — Suyumbike Tower. It ranks third in terms of tilt angle among "leaning" towers in the world: its top deviated 2 meters from the vertical due to foundation damage. The 58-meter tower was built at the beginning of the 17th century on the highest point of the Kremlin hill. Suyumbike Tower bears a striking resemblance to the Borovitskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin.

Kazan Family Center / Observation Deck
The family center is located on the right bank of the Kazanka River amidst a well-kept park. The main registry office of the republic has an unusual building shaped like a giant cauldron (kazan). This is especially noticeable at night when the lighting simulates flames under the cauldron. Inside the building, at a height of 32 meters, there is an observation deck that offers a breathtaking view of the city. The modern marriage palace was built in 2013 and is a symbol of family hearth.

National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan
The winged serpent Zilant is a hero from Tatar folklore and a symbol of Kazan. According to legend, it inhabited a mountain known as Zilantovaya. It is believed that the dragon still lives in Lake Kaban, guarding the treasures of Queen Suyumbike.

National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan
The main repository for national, republican, Russian, and foreign publications in the Republic of Tatarstan. It contains over three million two hundred thousand documents, including over 100,000 documents in Tatar and another 100,000 in foreign languages.

Temple of All Religions
An architectural structure in the village of Staroye Arakchino in Kazan dedicated to various religions of the world, it is a popular landmark in the city.
